Survivors’ meeting in Fribourg

On Friday, 29 August 2025, Childhood Cancer Switzerland, in collaboration with the Association of Families with a Child with Cancer in French-speaking Switzerland (ARFEC), invites childhood cancer survivors to a networking event in Fribourg. The shared dinner is intended for survivors aged 18 and over and will be held in French.

Survivors’ meetings organised by Childhood Cancer Switzerland take place several times a year at various locations across the German- and French-speaking regions of Switzerland. They offer an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, make new contacts and talk to other survivors in a relaxed setting. The Competence Centre for Survivorship provides information on key survivorship topics, introduces new services and is available to answer any questions.

As many survivors continue to live with late-term effects that can impact their quality of life even after successful treatment, these networking events are especially valuable. Talking to people in similar situations can help reduce social isolation, provide a space for sharing experiences, and support each other in dealing with the challenges of daily life.
