WeCanDays 2025 in the anniversary year

This year, Childhood Cancer Switzerland is inviting childhood cancer survivors to Lake Thun as part of the WeCanDays. Under the motto ‘Celebrating together’, the 10th anniversary of the umbrella organisation will be honoured and life itself celebrated.

Even years after their treatment, many survivors continue to face late effects of the disease and the therapy, questions about professional and social integration, or psychological challenges. This makes specific networking and exchange opportunities such as the Childhood Cancer Switzerland’s WeCanDays all the more important. These events offer ample opportunity to learn about follow-up care topics, gain valuable insights and maintain personal contact – without pressure, but with openness, mutual support and respectful interaction.

This year's WeCanDays will take place from 25 to 28 September 2025 at the Parkhotel Gunten on Lake Thun. They are aimed at survivors aged 18 and over from across Switzerland and will be held bilingually – in German and French. There will be a joint day trip to the region, supplemented by workshops on survivorship topics, creative activities and informal discussion groups. In addition to personal exchange, the focus will be on empowerment, social connection and mindful experiences. The event will be supported by a specialist in psycho-oncology and will also provide space for individual concerns. Registrations are possible until 17 August 2025 at the latest.
