What we do
Childhood Cancer Switzerland makes the public aware of childhood cancer.
It also pursues and provides activities associated with
- aftercare and survivorship and
Childhood Cancer Switzerland coordinates, supports and augments the activities currently undertaken by member organizations.
Advocacy and lobbying
Childhood Cancer Switzerland acts as a mouthpiece towards the authorities and other organizations and represents the interests of parents, childhood cancer survivors and doctors, for example in the legislative process or on health and research policy issues. The network's primary task is to coordinate the work and efforts of its member organizations in these areas.
Information and networking platform
Today various pieces of information, particularly information from international umbrella organizations and projects, go to different member organizations. It is therefore an important aim to make this information available to all members in one central location. The network also provides the interface with the International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations, SIOPE (European Society for Paediatric Oncology) and SIOP (International Society of Paediatric Oncology).
